Lot 31: Multi-Astronaut Signed Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Street Sign
A Cape Canaveral Air Force Station street sign that replaced the old "Cape Road" sign. Named in honor of Air Force General Sam C. Phillips who was a former Apollo Program Manager for NASA in D.C. during Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab programs. The Cape/Phillips old roadway is still in use today as "Phillips" and is the primary roadway going north and south through the heart of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The sign is signed by several early program astronauts who traveled this road quite a bit.
