Leon Ford and Jerry Matulka Win Omega Watches

Omega generously donated two watches for a raffle that culminated at the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's 2007 Astronaut Hall of Fame Induction Gala on May 4.

In an exciting turn of events, both watch winners, Bill Larsen and Pandora Crippen, donated the watches back to ASF for impromptu live auctions led by astronauts James Lovell, Jon McBride, and Al Worden.

Two long-time donors and avid ASF supporters secured the watches with the highest auction bids. Leon Ford won the Apollo 15 Anniversary Limited Edition Omega Speedmaster and Jerry Matulka won the diamond-studded Ladies Speedmaster.

Omega's donation of these superb watches continues a 38-year partnership that began when the Apollo astronauts first wore Omega watches on the Moon.

Raffle tickets were sold from March 26, 2007, through the evening of the Gala and were available online, through the mail and at the Gala. This year's Omega raffle raised an unprecedented $34,770 for the scholarship program.
