2007 ASF Semi-Annual Auction Rules and Regulations

  1. Online registration begins on September 18, 2007.
  2. All bidders must be registered before placing bids.
  3. Online bidding begins on October 4, 2007 at 9 AM EDT.
  4. The highest online bid will become the opening bid on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 9 AM BST (4 AM EDT) at Autographica, held at the Radisson Edwardian in Heathrow, England, where the lots will be on display and in-person bidding will begin.
  5. Online bidders may continue to bid against in-person bidders for the duration of the auction. In-person bids will be updated online every 15 minutes.
  6. In-person bidding closes from 5 PM - 7 PM BST (noon - 2 PM EDT) while the auction transitions to the Autographica dinner.
  7. In-person bidding will resume at 7 PM BST (2 PM EDT) at the Autographica dinner.
  8. Auction concludes online and in-person at the close of dinner at 10 PM BST (5 PM EDT).
  9. Online bids may only be placed by using the forms located on each lot's page.
  10. Registered bidders may submit bids as many times as desired during the bidding period.
  11. Currency is U.S. dollars (USD).
  12. Cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover are acceptable forms of payment for auction items.
  13. Bids reflect the amount that will be paid for the lot if you are identified as the highest bidder at the close of the auction.
  14. Your bid constitutes a contract to purchase the item on which it was placed. All winning bids are final. Please read all lot specifications and limitations carefully prior to making a bid. No refunds will be issued and winners are expected to make full payment after notification by the ASF.
  15. The ASF makes every attempt to accurately represent the items available for bid. If items are damaged in the process of shipping to the winning bidder, he/she should contact ASF who will assist in resolving the issue.
  16. The ASF reserves the right to remove items from the Auction without notice.
  17. Notification will be sent to winning bidders via e-mail with payment due within 30 days of receipt. Lots will not be released until payment has cleared. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the bidder.
  18. Bidders failing to follow through on a winning bid after the initial notification will be contacted by the ASF to schedule payment. If payment is still not forthcoming, bidding privileges for all future online and on-site auction programs conducted by the ASF may be revoked.
  19. When a bidder fails to make payment and bidding privileges are revoked, the bidder with the next highest bid amount will be contacted by the ASF to purchase the donated item.
  20. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid and to accept a bid from a lower bidder for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith.
