ASF 5th Annual Astronaut Experiences and Memorabilia Auction Rules
- All bidders must be registered before placing bids.
- Online bidding begins on May 31, 2007 at 7 AM EDT.
- The highest online bid will become the opening bid on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 9 AM EDT at the Simms and Hankow Astronaut Autograph show at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, FL, where the lots will be on display and in-person bidding will begin.
- Internet bidders may continue to bid against in-person bidders. Auction bids will be updated online every half an hour.
- Online bidding ends on June 9, 2007 at 5 PM EDT.
- Phone bidding begins on June 9, 2007 at 7 PM EDT, with in-person bidding at the Sims and Hankow Astronaut Autograph Show.
- Auction concludes on June 9, 2007 at 9:30 PM EDT.
- Online bids may only be placed by using the forms located on each lot's page.
- Registered bidders may submit bids as many times as desired during the bidding period.
- Currency is U.S. dollars (USD).
- Cash ($ USD), Check, Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover are acceptable forms or payment for auction items.
- Bids reflect the amount that will be paid for the lot if you are identified as the highest bidder at the close of the auction.
- Your bid constitutes a contract to purchase the item on which it was placed. All winning bids are final. Please read all lot specifications and limitations carefully prior to making a bid. No refunds will be issued and winners are expected to make full payment after notification by the ASF.
- The ASF makes every attempt to accurately represent the items available for bid. If items are damaged in the process of shipping to the winning bidder, he/she should contact ASF, who will assist in resolving the issue.
- The ASF reserves the right to remove items from the Auction without notice.
- Notification will be sent to winning bidders via e-mail with payment due within 30 days of receipt. Lots will not be released until payment has cleared. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the bidder.
- Bidders failing to follow through on a winning bid after the initial notification will be contacted by the ASF to schedule payment. If payment is still not forthcoming, bidding privileges for all future online and on-site auction programs conducted by the ASF may be revoked.
- When a bidder fails to make payment and bidding privileges are revoked, the bidder with the next highest bid amount will be contacted by the ASF to purchase the donated item.
- ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid and to accept a bid from a lower bidder for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith.
