Lot 04: Dive in the Florida Keys with Charlie Duke
Plunge into the deep blue waters of the Florida Keys, with moonwalker Charlie Duke! On this SCUBA diving adventure, you will experience some of the same sensations that Duke did 35 years ago when he stepped outside his spacecraft, Orion, onto the surface of the Moon! Together you will explore the wonders of the ocean floor and experience the closest feeling to weightlessness on earth!
After a day of diving, you will join Duke for a tropical Florida Keys dinner where you can discuss the day's discoveries and his travels to the moon! At the evening's end, you will bid farewell to your dive buddy and retire to your hotel for a good night's sleep (one night accommodation is included).
Auction lot does not include SCUBA certification. Transportation to and from the experience is not included. The actual date of the event, not to exceed one year after the close of the auction, will be determined by the above astronaut's schedule. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid, and to accept a bid from a lower bidder, for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith. The winning bidder of this experience may be required to submit proof of identity and be subject to a background check. ASF rep may accompany astronaut on the experience. Hold harmless agreement required.
