Lot 06: Sail Away with Scott Carpenter on a Caribbean Cruise
Leave your snow boots at home! You and a guest are headed for a tropical vacation with Mercury Astronaut Scott Carpenter aboard Carnival's Sensation! Your adventure will begin in Cape Canaveral - the very town that Carpenter made history in when he launched aboard an Atlas rocket and claimed the title of the second American to orbit the earth.
After greeting your spaceman at the plank, you will embark on a three-day journey by sea to Nassau, Bahamas! You will dine with Carpenter aboard this fabulous ship and explore the streets of Nassau once you pull into port. The vacation will afford you amble opportunity to get to know this legend and when it's over, you will be considered his friend.
Transportation to and from the experience are not included. Cruise accommodations are for two people in one outside, ocean view cabin. The actual date of the event must take place one year from the auction date and will be determined by the above astronaut's schedule. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, reject the high bid, and to accept a bid from a lower bidder, for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith. The winning bidder of this experience may be required to submit proof of identity and be subject to a background check. ASF rep may accompany astronaut on the experience. Hold harmless agreement required.
