Space Men to Land at Kennedy Space Center to Sign Autographs

Kennedy Space Center, FL — Move over Buck Rogers — the Real Stuff is here! More than thirty legendary astronauts and space icons will be available to greet guests, sign memorabilia and pose for photos at the Astronaut Autograph and Memorabilia Show at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex (KSCVC), November 7 – 8, 2009 in a celebration the whole family will enjoy!

Never before has this many astronauts gathered in one place for an autograph show. Hosted by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, the weekend offers special astronaut-hosted lunches and dinners, astronaut lectures, space-simulator rides with astronauts, photo opportunities, autograph sessions and much more!

"Guests will be immersed in ultimate space experience from the minute they arrive at Kennedy Space Center," said Linn LeBlanc, Astronaut Scholarship Foundation Executive Director. "Even if you don't collect autographs, the experience of meeting these American heroes and hearing their incredible stories is a lesson you never received in the classroom."

Participating astronauts range from some of the very first American astronauts that traveled to space to today's Space Shuttle astronauts, including:

Ticket proceeds benefit the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit organization which provides scholarships to college students who exhibit motivation, imagination, and exceptional performance in the science or engineering field of their major.  The Foundation funds nineteen $10,000 scholarships annually and has awarded $2.8 million nationwide.
