Each astronaut was permitted to bring a few personal effects aboard their flight, and Mitchell chose to include this cloth patch, which he stowed on the Command Module Kittyhawk, for the duration of the mission.
This personal artifact has traveled at speeds of nearly 25,000 mph and has traveled over 750,000 miles, completing 34 orbits of the moon over the course of 72 hours!
The patch and an 8" x 10" glossy photo of Mitchell on the moon have been matted and framed using archival methods.
