Lot 35: STS-41D Crew Signed NASA Litho
From the personal collection of Hank Hartsfield, this glossy 8" x 10" official NASA STS-41D crew photo is authentically signed by Commander Hartsfield, Pilot Mike Coats, Mission Specialists Judy Resnick, Steve Hawley, Mike Mullane, and Payload Specialist Charlie Walker.
The group photo's white border is stamped with the vintage NASA logo, print number, and Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas 77058.
On the 12th mission of the space shuttle program, the crew of STS-41D deployed three satellites, conducted several scientific experiments, including one for the Air Force, and used an IMAX camera, being flown for the second time. The crew returned to KSC on September 5, 1984, after a successful six-day mission.
The photo is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Hartsfield.
