Lot 13: Signed Gemini Model
Owning this one-of-a-kind Gemini model spacecraft will make you feel like the stars are always within reach, even from the comfort of your home office or living room.
Mounted on a white wooden base signed by legendary astronauts Buzz Aldrin (Gemini XII), Dave Scott (Gemini VIII), Gene Cernan (Gemini IXa) and Richard "Dick" Gordon (Gemini XI), this hand-painted treasure will bring you back to a time before man landed on the Moon.
Gemini astronauts were challenged to endure long-duration spaceflights, perfect extra-vehicular activities outside the protection of a spacecraft and perform rendezvous and docking maneuvers never before attempted. Commemorating these courageous achievements and more, this miniature module will provide you with a daily reminder of American innovation, bravery and smarts.
It may also make you think about the "little guys" behind every launch. Look underneath the base and you will find a note from Don Black, the Gemini mechanic who assembled the model and donated it to ASF. It reads:

This piece stands at around 11'' high and its base measures approximately 9.5'' x 6.5''. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by ASF Executive Director Linn Leblanc.
