Lot 15: Apollo Earth Orbital Chart signed by signed by 13 Apollo Astronauts

This Apollo 14 Earth Orbit Chart has been signed by thirteen Apollo astronauts, including at least one member of each Apollo crew. It is a 1st Edition, dated November 6, 1970, specifying a Jan. 31 launch date. Earth Orbit Charts were used in Mission Control and were carried by the flight crews. Occasionally they can be seen in photographs taken of Mission Control during the actual missions.

• Gene Cernan, "Apollo X - XVII"

The map, which measure 13-1/2 x 41" was prepared for NASA under the direction of the Department of Defense by the Air Force's Aeronautical Chart and Information Center. This lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Astronaut Scholarship Foundation Executive Director Linn LeBlanc.
