Lot 42: Library of Signed Astronaut & Space Books
This wonderfully diverse collection of books brings the world of
American spaceflight to life through stories, illustrations and
photographs. All books were donated to the Astronaut Scholarship
Foundation from the personal collection of Skylab astronaut William
"Bill" Pogue.
The lot includes a total of 14 volumes, 9 of which have been
hand-signed by Pogue:
- Space Trivia by astronaut William Pogue: Paperback, inscribed, "Bill Pogue, Pilot Skylab 4, 16 Nov. 1973 - 8 Feb. '74"; includes certification that autograph was signed using space-flown ink from a pen that was aboard Skylab from May 14, 1973 to Feb. 8, 1974
- One Giant Leap by Leon Wagener: Uncorrected bound manuscript, paperback, inscribed, "Bill Pogue, Pilot Skylab 4, From my personal collection"
- In the Stream of Stars: The Soviet/American Space Art Book: Paperback art book, inscribed, "Bill Pogue, Pilot Skylab 4"

The collection of books is accompanied by a Certificate of
Authenticity signed by Pogue.
ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the
high bid and to accept a bid from a lower bidder for any reason within
their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith.
