Created By The Mercury 7 Astronauts
This collection of notes and papers comes from the personal collection of the late Bill Pogue, Skylab astronaut, from his time as an instructor at the U.S. Air Force Aerospace Research Test Pilot School. This folder, labeled "Mathematics, 66A, 21 MAR 66" in Pogue's handwriting, offers a glimpse into Pogue's life just one month before he was selected by NASA to become an astronaut, in April 1966.
The set is bound in a 9" x 11.5" brown portfolio and pertains to Pogue's course on mathematics. The collection includes a schedule of classes, ditto and Xerox copies of classroom lessons, tests and notes, and several hand-written loose-leaf pages, many of which contain Pogue's own notes and corrections.
