June 2007 — More than $100,000 was raised during the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's Fifth Annual Astronaut Experiences and Memorabilia Auction held on line and in-person at the Sims & Hankow Autograph Show at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Some of the highest bids went to once-in-a-lifetime experiences like the chance to host a catered dinner party for Moonwalker Charlie Duke; attend a Denver Bronco's game with Al Worden; and even SCUBA dive in Cabo San Lucas with Moonwalker Buzz Aldrin. In all, more than 50 astronauts donated their time, signatures, and memorabilia from their personal collections to support ASF's scholarship program.
