Jeff has 40 years of aerospace and technology experience with 28 years of executive technical leadership. He has been involved with aerospace systems development his entire career and has led and made technical contributions to programs supporting the DOD, USSOCOM, and NASA.

Currently, Jeff is Vice President of the Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED) and Program Manager of the ESSCA Contract at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Cener in Huntsville, AL. Named to that position in March, 2020, Jeff’s leadership responsibilities include strategic planning, oversight of technical delivery and business operations, customer relations, risk identification and mitigation, workforce development, and task order management. Jeff transferred to ASED as the Chief Engineer in 2016.

Prior to joining JSEG, Jeff was the Deputy General Manager of the Aerospace Testing Alliance (ATA) – a Amentum-managed JV. With 1,800+ engineers, scientists, and craftsmen, ATA was the sole operating contractor for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex at Arnold AFB. Jeff provided management and technical leadership for all aerospace ground test operations, technology development, capital investment programs, and maintenance activities. He performed strategic planning, business and technical reviews of ongoing projects, staffing, labor relations, and administration/development of operating policies and procedures. Jeff was responsible for leading ATA’s ISO-9000 certified Performance Management System.

In 2009, Jeff accepted a corporate assignment as a Business Development Principal and led Sales Team 6 at the Aerospace and Technology Headquarters in Tullahoma, TN. Under Jeff’s leadership, his team successfully positioned for and captured the U.S. Air Force’s Technical and Engineering Acquisition Support (TEAS 6) contract at Eglin AFB, USSOCOM’s Global Battlestaff and Program Support (GBPS) contract at MacDill AFB, NASA’s Test Evaluation and Support Team (TEST) contract at WSTF, and the U.S. Army’s Mission Test Support Services (MTSS) contract at the Yuma Proving Grounds.

In 2002, Jeff was named Vice President and Deputy General Manager of the TEAS Group supporting the Air Armament Center at Eglin AFB. He was responsible for the daily operation of the 900+ person engineering contract supporting the research, development, test, and evaluation of air armament systems at Eglin AFB. In 1997, Jeff transferred to the USSOCOM Support Group in Tampa, FL and began his Amentum leadership roles as the Technical Director reporting to the General Manager. Prior to joining Amentum in 1989, Jeff worked at Texas Instruments in Lewisville, TX as a Guidance, Navigation and Control engineer. He contributed to several classified DoD programs of national importance.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Auburn University where he was a member of Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Pi Sigma. He also received a Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. Jeff sits on Auburn University’s Alumni Engineering Council, Auburn University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Advisory Board, University of Alabama in Huntsville President’s Council, and Drake State’s Frontier Board. He is active in several professional organizations including Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Astronautics and Aeronautics, Life Member of the National Defense Industrial Association, and Charter Member of the Emerald Coast Chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering. Jeff recently received Auburn University’s Outstanding Alumnus of the year for the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.

Jeff and his teams have received numerous awards including two Reinventing Excellence Awards at MSFC, two Master Builder Awards for the Exploitation of Differential GPS for Guidance Enhancement (EDGE) program and for the B-2 Bomber Shelter System program. In addition, he was awarded two NASA Silver Achievement Medals, the Florida Governor’s Sterling Council Special Award for Customer Relationship Building and received a Letter of Appreciation from the USAF Commander, Gen. Ronald Yates for his work on EDGE. His AMRAAM team won the Team of the Year Award and he also earned numerous individual awards.
