Becky Aistrup currently provides freelance assistance to technology-based startups and early-stage companies as the owner of Aistrup Consulting. In 2023, BBC Entrepreneurial Training and Consulting was successfully sold to employees of the company. Becky joined BBCetc in 2012 as a Principal Consultant and became a co-owner and Managing Partner in 2016. The company more than doubled in size (both revenues and employees) between 2016 and 2023 when BBCetc was sold.
Becky has been a well-known SBIR/STTR program expert, trainer, reviewer, and national conference speaker. She has always been passionate about the process of commercializing innovative technologies, including market and competitive analysis, sources of nondilutive funding, and strategic marketing.
Previously Becky served as VP and Corporate Officer for a successful biotech firm, Surmodics. She’s also held executive positions in several medical, biotech, pharma, and electronics companies. She was the SBIR/STTR Program Director for the state of Minnesota and managed a similar program for the state of Michigan. Becky holds a BA in Chemistry, an MBA in Marketing Management, and graduate work in Biochemistry.
